The first FHR litter of 2010 is here! Rose delivered a litter of 11 on January 8, 2010. She had a very easy time delivering and is nursing her babies well. One male baby is a runt, but seems to be growing at an equal pace with his larger siblings. There are 3 females and 8 males. There are 5 standard eared babies and 6 dumbos in Agouti, Black, Siamese, Cinnamon and Mink.
I am introducing the Siamese line genetics to the Downunder line in order to improve type and temperaments. Rose is a beautiful doe with excellent dumbo ears, and calm and sweet demeanor, and great health. She has always been a great mother with easy deliveries. Waddle is a super laid back, friendly and outgoing boy. He is an instant tucker and dangler. I hope he will improve upon Rose's somewhat short body and that she will improve his head, which is slightly narrow. |
